TO EMBARK ON HEALTH EDUCATION, DRUG ABUSE,
EARLY SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE, TEENAGE PREGNANCY,
HIV/AIDS EDUCATIONAL CAMPAIGN AND AWARENESS
CREATION
HIV/AIDS epidemic has been on a serious attack on the nation’s economy, and if not controlled, will negatively effect the entire economy of Ghana.
The drug abuse teenage pregnancy also pose a major problem to the government because these mentioned vices viciously affect the youth based on whom the wheel of the economic growth stands. The organisation will from time to time embark on serious programmes such as HIV/AIDS Awareness Creation, Drug abuse campaign and teenage pregnancy education campaign.
The focus will be on the typical rural areas in Ghana who are unaware of the epidemic, and this will means movement from one rural area to the other.
The organization intends to campaign and educate the rural youth on the cause of HIV/AIDS, its reality by showing video clips of affected ones to deter them, the effects of the disease, how to control or prevent the disease, and awareness creation in general.
The ministry of Health, World Health Organization, other NGO, in that area and Ghana AIDS commision will be contacted for the necessary materials to facilitate the campaign.
The awareness creation and education of campaign will cover the causes of drug abuse, its effect on the addict and the nation as a whole, then also the rural “teens” will be educated and advised of the consequences of early sex on their reproductive health and also the effects of teenage pregnancy.
On the other hand ywto is willing to help and support traditional herbal partners who are trying to find solution to the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
